Stethoscope

I'll like to apologize personally for changing the plans about the stethoscope for so many times.   I know it's very confusing and messy. But here's the final plan (I hope).
I'll show you guys the sample tomorrow (ie 19th April). There's 13 colours to choose from: Black, Gray, Navy Blue, Caribbean Blue, Ceil Blue, Orange, Raspberry, Hunter Green, Seafoam Green, Burgundy, Purple, ALL BLACK (special edition) and BRASS COPPER (i hope i get this name right but it's also special edition.). For the normal colour (ie not special edition), it's RM200. It was RM210 initially but after some negotiation, we (Gina and me) managed to lower the price down a little bit. Anyway, for the special edition (ALL BLACK and BRASS COPPER), they are priced at RM275.
We'll need you guys to cooperate and place the order as soon as possible. It means that we need you to give your name, ID, contact number, colour of stethoscope and the money to us (Gina, Kelvin or me). Deadline: Friday of 22nd April 2011.

Stethoscope (update) - 18/4/2011

Hey everybody!
As you all know, we previously announced that we will be ordering the stethoscopes from Kamal bookstore. However, currently, EMO bookstore is willing to offer us at a cheaper price at RM200 per stethoscope compared to the previous price they offered, RM210. Apart from that, they are willing to give us 3 years of warranty for the stethoscopes you've ordered. So, finally, we came to a decision that we'll be ordering from EMO bookstore instead of Kamal Bookstore.

There will be an addition of the colour "Hunter Green" to the choice of colours  (http://www.steeles.com/images/3M/2208.jpg)
Not only that, there's a limited edition of the stethoscope, with the colour "Copper Black" and "All Black". It is priced at RM275 per stethoscope (Sample is available.)

Jake will be showing the samples tomorrow (19th April 2011) during lecture-interval or after lectures.
Again, a reminder to all, please pass your name, ID, contact details and choice of colour to either one of us (Jake, Kelvin & I) if you're interested in ordering the stethoscopes.

Thanks,
Gina.

I certainly hope all of you will give me a chance to serve you. As most of the council members have already been elected, I understand what they are pushing for and I’m very supportive of the plans that they have for the student population. I’m an easy person to work with and you can trust that I will definitely do my best in everything J

Changes/New ideas I hope to push for

Online Course Evaluation

The Online Course Evaluation will be held on this coming Tuesday (12th April 2011), 10.30am till 1pm at E-Lab 4. This is the time where IMU gets feedback(s) from students about the medical/ dental course. It's not formative nor summative assessment. However, all students are encouraged to participate in the evaluation

AIR Topic Briefing

AIR Topic Briefing by Prof Mala Maung will be postponed until further notice. I'm not very sure about this but I was told that dental students are involved too! (FYI, we actually had gone through half of the briefing previously during orientation week. However, we didn't manage the finish the session because the Pharmacy students need to use our place for their lectures).

Stethoscope

EMO Bookstore is offering RM 210 for Littman's Stethoscope! Original price is RM250. Ten choices of colour. If you want to buy one, send your name and student id to my email at summer4jc@gmail.com I need to know the number ASAP.

This is some serious stuff. Please do read it.

GG. We are in trouble (not exactly every students)! But please do behave yourself, especially in the public. IMU received a complaint about IMU students and obviously the management is VERY UNHAPPY with the incident. Remember that we are the future health-care PROFESSIONALS, not some random guy with a MBBS-graduation-certificate! I don't know the students involved in the incident but IMU's Management and Deans do know about the names of all the students involved in the incident. If you are caught doing the same thing, be prepared to face Fitness To Conduct Committee (this means you may be expelled).

Due to some technical difficulties, I cant' upload the letter here (coz it's too lengthy). Anyway, I've sent the real "letter of complaint" to your student email or you can read it in facebook IMU MEDT111 Group.
